4-day trip to Latvia and Estonia - top places to see

Hello again! In this post I'll tell you a bit about traveling to Estonia and Latvia.

I have visited both countries before but I visited them again in October. We went to Tallinn by a cruise ship and we had our car with us. Then we first drove to Riga and spent there two days. The next stop was Jurmala and Tartu. And last but not least we spent half a day in Tallinn. Now I'll list you some of the greatest spots in both countries.

1. Riga, Latvia
Riga is a big city with long history. The old city is amazing and full of cute little shops and cafés. My personal favorite is a café called Black Magic. If you visit there, try hot chocolate and some sweets - absolutely amazing. Riga has also a lot of parks and sights to see and visit.

2. Tallinn, Estonia
The capital of Estonia is trending. A lot of new shops and restaurants are taking over the city. The old city is absolutely beautiful and you find something new behind every corner. Try taking a walk during the sun set to the old town - and don't forget to take your camera!

3. Jurmala, Latvia
This small city isn't too popular and that's exactly why you should visit it! The sea views, beautiful villas and calming nature welcome you to enjoy the beauty of Latvia. This is a place you should visit either in summer or in winter when there's snow. Also in the main walking street there's amazing sushi restaurant which serves sushi very cheaply - if you are a sushi lover like I am you have to try that one!

4. Tartu, Estonia
Tartu is the cultural and spiritual capital of Estonia. It has a long history which you can see while you walk around the city. One of the best sights is the park of Toomemägi where you can see the Cathedral of Tartu. Also a very new sight is Estonian National Museum located in Tartu. It was opened in 2016 and it's very very modern - if you don't want to pay for the ticket, just go see the architecture from outside and from the hall!

5. Pärnu, Estonia
Pärnu is kind of an Estonian version of Jurmala. It's known for it's spas and sea. The beach of Pärnu is very beautiful in every time of the year, though it is at it's best in summer. You can also check out the Weekend Festival which is the largest dance music festival in the Scandinavia. It's held in summer and you can check more information here.

That's it - if you have any questions please comment or contact me, I'll happily help you :) It was quite of a short post but I hope you enjoyed the pictures and tips.
